Ingredients:
- Slices of bread
- Butter or margarine
- Optional toppings: jam, honey, cheese, etc.
Instructions:
1_ Start by heating a non-stick skillet or a toaster.
2_ Take the desired number of bread slices and spread a thin layer of butter or margarine on one side of each slice. You can use more butter for a richer flavor if you prefer.
3_ If you want to add toppings like cheese, place them on the unbuttered side of the bread slices.
4_ Once the skillet or toaster is hot, place the bread slices buttered side down (or with the toppings facing each other) onto the surface.
5_ Allow the bread to cook on medium heat for about 2-3 minutes or until the bottom side becomes golden brown and crispy.
6_ While the first side is cooking, you can butter the other side of the bread slices if desired.
