common sandwich cheeses

*Recipe for a delicious roast cheese sandwich:

- Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of bread (any type you prefer)
  • 4-6 ounces (115-170 grams) of your favorite cheese (cheddar, Swiss, provolone, etc.)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • Optional: additional fillings like tomato slices, onion, ham, bacon, etc.

- Instructions:

1- Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.

2- Spread a thin layer of butter on one side of each slice of bread.

3- Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, on the skillet or griddle.

4- Layer the cheese evenly on top of the bread slices. If desired, add any additional fillings on top of the cheese.

5- Top each sandwich with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side facing up.

6- Cook the sandwiches for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread turns golden brown and the cheese melts.

7- Carefully flip the sandwiches with a spatula and continue cooking until the other side is toasted and the cheese is fully melted.

8- Once cooked to your liking, remove the sandwiches from the heat and let them cool slightly for a minute or two.

9- Cut the sandwiches in half diagonally or into smaller pieces, if desired.

10- Serve the roast cheese sandwiches while they're still warm and enjoy!
